Brighton enter in this match with a clearly improved form. Despite some inconsistency, Liverpool continue to be a dangerous top team, even though the current season, with nine defeats in 30 games, shows an unusually rate of mistakes. Defensively, the Reds' vulnerability in the closing stages is particularly noticeable. Eight goals were conceded after the 90th minute have resulted in dropped points each time. Nevertheless, the head-to-head record this season clearly favors Liverpool, who have already defeated Brighton twice without conceding a goal.
